A developer diary for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine has been released.

Those merry jesters at Paradox Interactive and Most Wanted Entertainment have today announced details on how and where to sign with inked quill for the limited closed Beta for their upcoming next-generation tower defense game Defenders of Ardania.

The beta is for the PC version, a game that is being developed for four different platforms – PC, iPad, PSN and XBLA.

Defenders of Ardania is set in the rich fantasy world of Majesty, but with a twist. Besides the addictive core mechanics of placing towers to stop advancing enemy units, Defenders of Ardania also allows players to take on the role of the attackers seeking to conquer the enemy base. The game will be available in Q3, 2011.

After testing the game for two rounds in its Closed Beta Test, Power Hosts Technology Limited, the publisher of Elfender, confirmed the Open Beta Test for Elfender. It will launch on March 31st.

During this period, every player will be given a newcomer gift pack with loads of rewards to help them get started. And there will be more gift packs once the player reaches Levels 10, 15 and 20.

Elfender is a tower defense game published under the ClapAlong platform. “It features lovely cartoon style artwork and multiple battle modes like PvP and PvE”, said its official OBT announcement. Players can summon various monsters and elves to fight against other gamers and NPCs. There are dozens of monsters and elves cards available. Players need to utilize the resources needed in summoning cards to outwit their rivals. Also, there will be a Talent System. Activating the skills under this system will grant players fighting perks. And the Dress-up System should be able to attract the attention of those who fancy fashionable attires.

Interested players are invited to take part in its OBT on Thursday. Ubisoft have started work on an encyclopedia for their Assassin’s Creed franchise and are in this regard seeking fans to work on this undertaking.

This is a real job offer, and they seek people with excellent English writing skills, an accurate knowledge of the Assassin’s Creed universe, and harp organizational skills (the amount of information to collect and sort out is enormous). However, you don’t have to be an expert in the field of gaming encyclopedias. As they put it in their post; “Beginners can apply, we wouldn’t want to miss out on someone passionate and talented just because he or she doesn’t have a five-year experience.”
